Psalm 27:13-14

I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord.

Sometimes this verse is about all that gets me (Sarah) through the day. Today, I can only want to believe that there will be some goodness for me while I'm alive. Today, despair is trying to win out. Thank God for the prayers and love of those at Firestream.net. They have truly encouraged me and helped me through times that I thought I wouldn't get through.

Hi I'm Sarah L. and I am a fiber freak who loves metal music and video games. I spin wool, I knit and crochet, all while listening to Demon Hunter or Living Sacrifice! Hi I'm Mary T. and I am a fiber freak who loves to follow Jesus and wear dresses (wearing the same dress pattern for so long that it is now known as THE Mary Dress). I spin wool, I knit, I have raised two children and am raising two more, and homeschooling. How did they get started as friends? Well, it all started at a friend's baby shower. Mary was a spinner and Sarah wanted to learn. So Mary taught Sarah the ways of the wheel in her little yarn shop on the side of her house. There began the unending friendship of two women. They now live next door to each other (Mary is Sarah's landlord) and because young Sarah is afraid of cooking, they spend nearly every meal together (when McDonald's is out of reach because Sarah's car won't make it that far). Even as Sarah writes this little blurb, Mary is spinning wool the color of water around the Caribbean coastline.
